A few things you will need before the signing

 
  • Every signer must show valid (not expired) photo identification. All identification must contain a photo, a physical description, a signature and a serial number. California recognizes the following types of identification if issued within the last 5 years (only one is needed for the signing):

    • Drivers License

    • State Issued ID Card

    • (Senior ID, Under 18 ID, CA ID)

    • U.S. Passport

    • U.S. Military ID Card

    • An inmate identification card issued by the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, if the inmate is in custody in prison

    • Any form of inmate identification issued by a sheriff’s department, if the inmate is in custody in a local detention facility

    • Foreign Passport if stamped by the Immigration and Naturalization Service

    If you do not have a valid form of identification, please give us a call and we can go over the other options for establishing your identity in order to perform a notarization

  • You supply your documents, statements, forms, letters, affidavits, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Health Care Directives, etc. Fill in all blanks but do not sign or date. The notarial portion will be completed and provided if necessary at the time of notarization. A Notary Public is unable to draft, change, or provide legal advice concerning your document. If you have questions, please work with the company or agency who drafted your document or who will be receiving them once they are completed.

  • Signer must sign documents willingly, without being forced or coerced into signing the documents. The signer also must understand the significance of what they are executing.
